Inverness Caledonian Thistle will welcome Celtic to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on Wednesday May 4 for a Scottish Premier League fixture that could see Celtic go ahead of Rangers in the race for the title, albeit with a game extra played. If Celtic can pile on the pressure it will be in Rangers hands to react properly to take back the lead so a win and three points are essential for Celtic. With Celtic playing Dundee on the Sunday before this game they will have had to have taken the points at the weekend to still be in the running for the top spot on Wednesday but they will have a tough time at Cetlic Park on Sunday as Dundee will have come off the back of a good win. With Caley Thistle also in action at the weekend against Aberdeen they will have hoped to continue their three games unbeaten run with another win. Celtic Striker Kris Commons believes that Celtic will be too much for the Caley Thistle as his Hoops team mates are hitting top form with the title in their sights.
After losing the Scottish cup to Rangers the Bhoys will not want to let the league slip away right in the last month of the season. The Celtic team have been playing very well all season but they have notched up two losses in their last five games and many fans fear they could crack under the pressure. The inclusion of Shaun Maloney this week though should be enough to lift the players after he made his return to the pitch against Atletico Bilbao last week. Maloney picked up an ankle injury while playing for Celtic in their meeting with Caley Thistle back in November and the 28 year old was greatly missed.
