Sporting Braga will welcome fellow Portuguese outfit Benfica to the Estadio AXA on Thursday May 5 for a Europa League clash that could seal progression to the final for either side. Sporting Braga may be 14 points behind Benfica but they are still currently ranked third in the Primeira Liga table behind Benfica in second which may paint a better picture of how close this game could be. Sporting will need just one goal to progress at present as they managed to penetrate the Benfica defence when they played the first leg and now have an away goal to their credit thanks to veteran Portuguese midfielder Vanderson Valter De Almeida.  If Jorge Jesus can get a performance out of Saviola or Cardozo then Benfica may just prove too much for the home team and at the moment nobody would bet against Cardozo getting a goal especially if Carlos Martins is playing as the pair have linked up so well in recent games. With a possible final against the winners from the Porto and Villarreal game there is a lot to p[lay for and extra time is not an impossibility.
